It’s the New Year !! Let’s look back …

Happy New Year !!  It’s been two months since my last post so please be prepared there might be a bit more coming now …

I found one of my first scrapbooks !!! I mentioned them once in ABOUT section.
It’s interesting and funny at the same time to see what I used to like …
I can see now that some of my preferences haven’t changed through the years !
Let me go back for a while to my fashion heroes of the past …

Małgosia Bela at French VOGUE cover in February 2000 ! I am constantly impressed with her beauty but also appreciate the way she is: modest and professional at the same time.

I loved LINDA ! Do you remember Models, the film by Peter Lindberg? (it’s from 1991 -> with Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Stephanie Seymour).
I so much loved it, watched it million times not only for those amazingly beautiful girls but also for its exceptional climate.
I was totally delighted with Linda’s (Evangelista) beauty, she was just perfect for me. I also admired Stephanie Seymour and Tatjana Patitz, the last one seems to be a bit neurotic but it just adds to her charm …
I’ve just watched the film again and have to admit it has some sentimental value for me. This was one of my earliest sights into the fashion world … (also one of the first available for me at that time – in early nineties).
You have to see the trailer and then the movie !
I love one of the first scenes, when they all are getting out of the car and walking towards camera, all wearing suits …

I used to admire a lot, the style of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, you can see her above on the picture with a dog … she was for me that perfect definition of effortless chic and definitely the person who knew what suited her.

Finally … I was a big fan of Twin Peaks girls: Scherilyn Fenn, Madchen Amick and Lara Flyn Boyle, … but this love did not survive through the years … above you can see some good shots of Lara from the time I liked to watch her …

  1. How come I haven’t seen this movie before. It seems the models of those times are gone or are they?
I love Cindy Crawford’s comment that the face you get at the age of 50 is the one you deserve… She certainly knows what ‘beauty’ is all about.
